Generally plug in the hard drive data cable and hard drive power cord, and then boot into the BIOS, in the BIOS of the standard CMOS Features (standard CMOS feature set) here in Figure 1-2

Editor's note: Some motherboards may not have the same BIOS as the image below, but look for them in the same way. If English is not very good, you can refer to: BIOS Chinese control
The normal desktop assembly machine enters the BIOS by pressing the DELETE key (near the top of the arrow key)
Individual brand machine may be according to F12 F11 specific can refer to the manual

Because there is no camera at home, so the photo is inconvenient directly than the Internet to copy a few pictures. Practically all the same, should be able to read.
You can see the relevant motherboard date time and the associated floppy drive on the motherboard, when we mainly look at the IDE Primary master, IDE Primary Slave, IDE secondary master and IDE secondary Slave here will not be like the first such, not none of this, if it is none this means that the interface is not plugged into the hard drive, the other is already have a hard drive or the optical drive has been inserted.

As shown in the following figure, this is the two hard drive already plugged in.

If, as shown in Figure 1-2 or figure 1-3, the hard drive is identified, if a new hard drive is plugged in and the computer is reset again after entering the BIOS, there is no new IDE hard drive, then there are only three possible
The motherboard BIOS did not find a hard drive troubleshooting method
