In order to improve and maintain the overall performance for everyone who uses bitbucket, we is rolling out size limits O N newly-created repositories. Starting today, repository size limits'll be:

• Soft limit of 1 GB –in-product and email notifications would give you a heads-up so you ' re approaching the Limi T.
• Hard Limit  of 2 GB –pushing to the repository would be disabled until "re back under the limit.

If you already had a repository that's larger than the 2GB limit, your repository had been grandfathered so you won ' t ha ve any issues.
