How do I encrypt disk drives using the BitLocker feature of Windows 7 to protect file data?

Microsoft provides users with a powerful BitLocker encryption feature in the ultimate version of the Windows 7 operating system, which was first seen in Vista Systems, and BitLocker secret technology can support both FAT and NTFS two formats to encrypt the protection of user data. You can encrypt your computer's entire system partition, and pages can encrypt removable portable storage devices such as USB flash drives and removable hard disks. BitLocker to go, which encrypts mobile device storage such as a USB flash drive, is the latest feature added.
Case: A company that is a manager-level employee is configured with a laptop, as the manager often needs to bring a notebook to the customer site. To keep your data secure, you need to encrypt the D disk of your storage company files.
The following steps are described.

(2) in the BitLocker Drive Encryption window, you can see all the hard drives that require encryption, as shown in 4.2.

(3) Select the D drive and click the "Enable BitLocker" button to open the "BitLocker Drive Encryption (d:)" window, as shown in 4.3.

(4) Select the "Unlock Drive with password" option and set the password, click on the "Next" button, as shown in 4.4.

(5) In the How do you want to store the Recovery key window, click Save Recovery Key to file, as shown in 4.5.

Note: Try to store the key on a network drive or a removable storage device.
(6) Click the "Next" button and click the "Start Encryption" button in the "Ready to encrypt this drive" window. As shown in 4.6.

(7) After the progress of the "encrypting ..." window is complete, the drive D disk is encrypted. As shown in 4.7.

(8) Click the "Computer" icon on the desktop, 4.8 shows that the D drive is now locked.

(9) After restarting the computer, you can view the drive letter as a locked shape and not see the capacity information.
