Buffalo LS-QVL installation + configuration information

At the end of the year, two new singles were added to the family. One was a lovely girl, and the other was a handsome 4-disk NAs of buffalo.

The Technology House knows that hard disk mounting or previous Code loss means losing half the life. It is too troublesome to back and forth hard disk backup, and the cost of throwing a server to the IDC is too high, fortunately, the cost of using NAS is now reduced, so we are ready to come to a personal data center.

I originally wanted to DIY one by myself, but I had to look at the NAS chassis on a certain treasure for 6, 7,. If I had a big tin box for my household use, I would have occupied an area and crashed, so I found a good cost-performance 4 disk machine, 981 start: Buffalo LS-QVL + 1 wd1t red disk, a total of less than 2 K, the installation will not say, next next... Right-click the machine on the local area network and choose web management.

The default admin password is password, which can be entered and modified.

Let's take a look at ext's ria management... MySQL is also provided, which is considerate and the built-in BT download tool is not easy to use... It seems that the machine must be changed...

First download a jar package

This NAS uses a Linux System

Modify the root password:

Java-jar acp_commander.jar-T 192.168.1.111-IP 192.168.1.111-PW password-c "(echo 123456; echo 123456) | passwd"

Use PAM Authentication for SSH:

Java-jar acp_commander.jar-T 192.168.1.111-IP 192.168.1.111-PW 123456-c "sed-I's/usepam Yes/usepam no/G'/etc/sshd_config"

Allow root SSH login:

Java-jar acp_commander.jar-T 192.168.1.111-IP 192.168.1.111-PW 123456-c "sed-I's/permitrootlogin no/permitrootlogin Yes/G'/etc/sshd_config"

Restart the SSH service:

Java-jar acp_commander.jar-T 192.168.1.111-IP 192.168.1.111-PW nasadmin-c "/etc/init. d/sshd. Sh restart"

Open the familiar securecrt and log on. After logging on, check the System Configuration:

CAT/proc/meminfo
Memtotal: 248668 KB
Memfree: 18308 KB

Sweaty... How much memory is this? 256 m? You cannot even run tomcat... He meow seems that this stuff can only be stored ..

CPU again ..

CAT/proc/cpuinfo
Processor: feroceon 88fr131 rev 1 (v5l)
Bogomips: 1594.16

Speechless .. Low Power Consumption = various low configurations .. This CPU is less powerful than the current smartphone...

However, the chassis is pretty cute. Let's make a backup first .. You cannot think too much about this configuration .. Install SVN .. In the future, I want to change the motherboard .. Otherwise, use your old computer to DIY a home server, and use Nas for storage.

I'm in a bad mood today. BT, PT, etc.
