The new Cisco uniied Personal Communicator client software transparently integrates a wide range of communication applications and services, including voice, video, call management, network status, and Web conferencing. It can also be used as a SIP client on the Cisco Unified CallManager system.
Cisco uniied Personal Communicator complies with the SIP and SIMPLE standards, exchanges network status information with the Cisco uniied Presence Server, and uses SIP as the call signaling for audio and video soft phones. The network status information allows you to view the status and availability information of your colleagues through the Cisco uniied Personal Communicator client on your desktop.
