More than one virtual machine is needed for experimentation in development. The reinstallation process is cumbersome, and the VMware virtual machine comes with software that can quickly clone the exact same system. Here's how to clone a VMware virtual machine, and the VMware version I'm using is 11.0.0.
1. Select an installed virtual machine under the My Computer node on the left side of the VMware Workstation main panel, my own is Hadoop-senior02
2, on the Hadoop-senior02 virtual machine through the right mouse button menu, select, Manage, clone, click Clone
3, always next, until the clone type panel appears, select Create Complete clone, click Next.
4, define the name and location of the virtual machine, and finally set up a folder to put the virtual machine, click Finish.
5, virtual machine prompt is cloning, click Close when finished.
6. Right click on the newly created virtual machine Hadoop-senior01, select settings
7. Set the memory to the appropriate value in the Virtual machine settings panel, I am here 1GB
8, or in the Virtual machine settings panel, select the network adapter click Advanced
9. Click Generate MAC address in the pop-up network adapter Advanced Settings panel, and click until you exit the virtual machine settings panel, which is the virtual machine cloning complete. because Hadoop-senior01 is a clone of Hadoop-senior02, the MAC address shown here is the same, which is problematic and must be regenerated
,
10, start the virtual machine, on the command line to continue to configure the network card, configuration method please click the link below
