SLB is the server load balancer (load Balancing) abbreviation, is a Network Load Balancing service provided by Ali Cloud computing. The SLB service, by setting the virtual service address (IP), will virtualize multiple cloud server resources in the same computer room (Region) into a high-performance, highly available application service pool, and distribute network requests from clients to the cloud service pool, depending on how the application is specified.
SLB Service is designed for Aliyun flexible computing platform, regardless of the system architecture, system security and performance, expansion, compatibility design has fully considered the flexible computing platform cloud server usage characteristics and specific business scenarios, the user's cloud server without special settings that can be transparent access.
The Aliyun SLB Service can check the health status of cloud servers in the service pool, automatically isolate the abnormal state cloud server, thus solving the single point problem of single cloud server and improving the overall service capability of the application. In addition to the standard load balancing function, the SLB service also features TCP and HTTP anti-DDoS attacks, which enhances the protection of application servers.
Aliyun SLB Service is a supporting service for the multi-machine solution of cloud server, which needs to be used in conjunction with Cloud server.
This document is intended to instruct users on how to create and use the Aliyun SLB service for the first time.
