Connection Method of Two Routers
The most common application is that you have a router in your home and want to connect to a wireless router now. You cannot access the Internet without simple settings, because the two routers have the same IP address in the same CIDR Block, the two routers connect to two DHCP servers to work together, so the IP address may conflict with www.2cto.com. Now let's take a look at the figure below to figure the connection method.
Set the vro connected to the Internet to vroa A, and the vro to be connected to is vrob B. The current settings do not require any changes to vro A, that is, vro A does not need to be moved, however, make sure that the DHCP function is enabled for router A, that is, the IP address is automatically obtained. This function will be available after the router is purchased, connect the WAN port of router B to the LAN port of router A and change the IP address of router B to 192.168.0.1.
Figure 1 enable the DHCP function of router B. This step may omit the use of this function before the router is purchased.
Enter the WAN port settings of router B
At 15, select the WAN port connection type, dynamic IP address, and manually set DNS server at 14, 192.168.1.1 we can assign this resolution task to the next-level router. If you know the DNS of the ISP provider, you only need to write it to them, for example, if the DNS in our region is 218.2.135.1, save and exit, and enter the vro Status interface, you will see that router A is temporarily assigned an IP address www.2cto.com for router B.
If you see that router B has obtained the IP address, which of the above settings has been completed, now you can plug the computer network cable into the LAN port of router B to access the Internet, if it is wireless, you can enable your computer to receive wireless signals. If the above is not successful, go back to the previous step and set it as follows:
Enter the WAN port and select a static IP address in the connection type. write the IP address at Step 6. Of course, the IP address is not used. The Gateway DNS server written at Step 7 is saved and exited successfully.
