A coverage data consists of two folders: one folder is used to store space geometric information, and the name of the folder is the name of the coverage data (such as HNC); the other folder is named info, it stores the property information of coverage.
Coverage File naming rules:
(I) cannot be longer than 13 characters (ii) cannot contain spaces (iii) cannot start with a number (iv) all letters must be in lower case
The coverage folder may store lab. ADF, arc. ADF, sec. ADF, pal. ADF, CNT. ADF, tic. ADF, lnk. ADF, BND. coordinate files such as the ADF, ARX. ADF, Pax. the index files and Pat. ADF, AAT. and other property files. Which files are included in a converage data depends on which element types are included in the converage data.
The info folder stores the info data file and the attribute table definition of coverage data, including arcw..dat, arcw..nit, and arc. dir files. In addition, for each. ADF file in the coverage folder, a pair of. dat and. Nit files under the info folder correspond to each other. The arc. dir file records the. dat and. Nit files that correspond to the same. ADF files.
