Building blocks in Word 2010 are primarily used to store text, graphics, tables, or other specific objects that have a fixed format and are often used. Building blocks are saved in a library of word 2010 and can be inserted anywhere in any word 2010 document or Word 2010 document. The steps to create a building block in a word 2010 document are described below:
Step 1th, open the Word 2010 document window, and select the content that you want to use as the building block (such as text, pictures, or tables, and so on). Switch to the Insert Ribbon, click the Document Parts button in the text group, and select the Save selection to document Part Gallery command from the Open menu, as shown in Figure 2009122501.

Step 2nd, open the New Building Block dialog box, where the user can customize the building block name and select the library to which the building block is saved. The default is saved to the document parts Gallery, but you can also choose to save to a library such as header, footer, text box, and so on. Choose which library to save to, and you need to find it in the appropriate library when you use the building block. The other options remain the default settings and click OK, as shown in Figure 2009122502.
