This article provides help for you to use charts in Access 2007.

Download database and search Help
The database to download for this article (called CHARTS2007.ACCDB) has a very simple table that is good for charting. Looking at Figure 2, you'll see the three text fields appropriate for grouping and a date field suitable for date merging. There are also two numeric fields that we can use for the values in the chart.

Add your first chart
To add a chart to your database, select the Blank Form command in the Create Bar menu (see Figure 1). In the beginning you will find that you are in the Display view of blank form. Select the Home Bar menu and open the form in Design view. Now in the design box, you'll see a small chart icon (see Figure 3). Click on this icon, go back to your blank form and drag through the mouse to provide a box of the appropriate size, and then release. This starts the Chart Wizard (as shown in Figure 4).
