Prepare the primary route (R1) of the network: SSID and connection password.

1. Enter the DD-WRT control panel, click "wireless" on the main menu, and then click "Basic settings ". Set "wireless mode" to relay bridging, "wireless network mode" (select "hybrid"), and "Wireless Network Name (SSID) "must be the same as the primary wireless router," Feel range (ACK timing) ", and" network configuration "do not need to be changed. Click "Save settings ".

 

2. After the image is saved successfully, the current page is displayed. Click "add" under the "Virtual Interface" tab, and then click "Wireless Network Name (SSID) "set a name different from the name of the primary wireless router (you can also set it to the same name, the official saying that this can achieve Seamless Roaming, I did not test ). The following "wireless SSID broadcast" ("enabled" by default), AP independent ("disabled" by default), and network configuration ("bridging" by default ") no changes are required. Click "Save settings"

 

3. Click "wireless" on the main menu, and then "wireless security". The upper part of the configuration must be exactly the same as the security settings in the primary wireless router. What security mode is used, the password must be exactly the same (because the relay wireless router must first connect to the primary wireless router through the information, in order to carry out signal relay forwarding ). The lower part is to set the security settings for the signals sent by the relay wireless router. You can choose either an encryption method or a password.

 

4. Click "Settings" on the main menu, and then click "Basic settings". You will find that "connection type" is disabled, and the following "STP" settings are also "disabled ". In "Network Settings", the IP address should be 192.168.1.18 (the IP address segment is set to the same as the master route), and then add "subnet mask": 255.255.255.0, "Default Gateway ": 192.168.1.1 (IP address of the master route), "Local DNS": 192.168.1.1 or dns61.139.2.69 in Sichuan. After setting, click "Save settings ".

 

5. Click "security" on the main menu, click "firewall", and set "SPI firewall" to "disabled ". Click "Save settings ".

 

6. Choose "manage" from the main menu and select "application". You 'd better restart it later.

 

7. Check whether the test is successful.

After a route is restarted, search for a wireless route and connect it. If you cannot obtain the IP address, manually set the IP address. The network segment is the same as that of the master route, and the IP address of the gateway is the master route.
