Installing Debian on Dell R410 has a problem,
No Nic bnx2 driver (Broadcom NetXtremeII)
The reason is that it is non-free ....
There are two solutions:
1. The simplest
After the complete security of Debian, the lower-end firmware-bnx2.deb to no web card to debian
Dpkg-I firmware-bnx2.deb
Add the next line to/etc/apt/sources. list
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian squeeze main non-free
Last reboot host
2. load missing firmware file during the security Period
The lower-tier firmware-bnx2.deb comes back, and then uninstalls it to USB-Stick
Press ctrl + alt + F2 on the master machine to go to another console. Then, run the following command:
Mount/dev/sdb1/mnt
Cp/mnt/nnx2/bnx2-mips-09-5.0.0.j3.fw/lib/firmware/
Cp/mnt/nnx2/bnx2-rv2p-09-5.0.0.j3.fw/lib/firmware/
Press ctrl + alt + F1 To Go Back To zookeeper Security
