Tikal is an open-source development tool provider. Recently released Tikal update Manager (tum). Tum is an eclipse and its plug-in, tool installation and upgrade manager.

Tikal compares tum to Yellow Dog Updater (YUM ). Yum is an open-source command line management tool group compatible with rpm on Linux systems.

The tum graphic interface provides a window for previewing all available plug-ins and tools. It can be used to browse, install, update, or delete various open-source plug-ins and tools.

Tum can be linked to all eclipse update sites, allowing access to the content, category, and other data of these sites, including resource libraries such as Callisto.

The open-source tum protocol uses lgpl and provides complete documentation.
