ESD Protection before maintenance

The IC device on the computer board is very sensitive to electrostatic pressure. People or things with static electricity, contact with electrical devices will produce static electricity, and the release of electrostatic high-voltage will damage the device. Therefore, in the maintenance of the computer must pay attention to the protection of static electricity before the removal of the computer must do the following:

1. Disconnect all power supplies.

2. Before opening the case, both hands can touch the walls or the ground, releasing the static electricity. Take the motherboard or card, you should try to take the edge of the card, do not touch the board with the hand of the IC card.

3. Maintain a certain humidity, air drying will easily produce static electricity.

4. Use electric iron, electric fan of the electrical appliances, to connect good ground, monitor the power plug in the ground also to the ground, to see whether the power sockets have ground, to try to use the grounding of the board and power cord.
