Excel 2007 cannot install the Add-in solution

Opened the mail today to see a friend sent me an e-mail, the full text as follows (slightly deleted):

Recently, we have been studying mathematical models and using solver to compute them. Before using Excel XP, you know to load related macros in a tool, and then you can solve them smoothly. But in Excel 2007 you can't find the north:

The first is the add-in, click the Office logo icon in the upper-left corner-"Excel Options"-"Add-ins", select Excel add-in in the following management Drop-down list, go to, pop up the Add-Ins dialog box, check Solver add-ins, and make sure that a dialog box pops up (see figure 1);

But there is no legendary "analysis" group under the Data tab? Then look at "hypothetical analysis" in the Data Tools group and Solver-independent.

In addition, I noticed: Click on the Office logo icon in the upper left corner, Excel options, add-ins, solver, Analysis ToolPak, etc. are grouped in the inactive application add-ins.

Excel2007 "Solver"

I don't know the exact solution to this friend's problem. But he's doing the right thing. Solver in Excel 2007 uses the Office buttons-Excel Options-add-ins-Excel Add-ins-go to-Add-ins dialog box-tick Solver add-in "-OK, this is the general step.

The caveat is that if this is the first time, a dialog box will pop up after clicking OK, asking you to install the add-in (Figure 2).

It is completely ready to use after installation, as shown in Figure 3.

For the problem with that cue box, the solutions are as follows:

Under the Windowssystem32 directory of the system letter, execute regsvr32 fm20.dll, and register the file to load it.

Because a Solver macro requires SOLVER32.dll file guidance, there is no way to find a Solver macro without loading Fm20.dll,office 2007.
