Excel provides an automatic formatting feature that formats the reports we make, producing beautiful reports, or forms that are automatically formatted, according to the preset format. This automatic formatting feature saves users from formatting a report for a lot of time, and the system makes a very nice report. Table Style AutoFormat steps are as follows:
(1) Select the range you want to format, and choose AutoFormat from the Format menu. The AutoFormat dialog box appears as shown in Figure 6-41.
(2) In the Format list box, select the format you want to use, and the selected formatting appears in the example box. Press the OK button.
In this way, the table is formatted in the selected format in the range we have selected. If you are not satisfied with the formatted results, you can use the Undo command on the Edit menu or press the "ctrl"+"z" key.
When automatically formatted, the formatted item contains numbers, borders, fonts, patterns, alignment, column width/row height. In use, we can choose some of these items according to the actual situation, and do not need to accept each item. We press the "Options" button in the dialog box in Figure 6-42 to make the application formatting options appear
If the "√" symbol in front of an item does not appear, the item is not used when the table format is applied. For example: the "√" symbol before "column/row height" disappears, then the column width and row height can be adjusted when the table format is applied.
