The Excel password setting steps are as follows:

Open the Excel you want to protect

Select the review option to see a protected Sheet toolbar on the toolbar of the page

Click the button to open the Protect Sheet dialog box. In this dialog box, you need to set a password to unprotect the worksheet, and after you protect the worksheet, allow the action to be made, select the check box in front of the allowed action, that is, click "√"

Click on the "OK" button, pop-up the password to confirm the dialog box, enter the "Protect Sheet" page set in the password, and then click OK

At this point, when you enter data or modify data in a worksheet page, the message that the worksheet is protected is popped up.
