Move Mailbox databases and logs, 3 steps will be performed

1. If the target database is already loaded, dismount the mailbox database first;
2. Migrating the target mailbox database;
3. Loading the mailbox database;

Migrating mailbox databases and log files

The first step is to confirm the current location of the target mailbox database. Type the command.

Get-mailboxdatabase

Get-mailboxdatabase Identity Mailbaox51 | FL *path*

After the command executes,

The first command, querying all Exchange mailbox databases in your organization;

The second command confirms the target database Mailbaox51 and the log file path;

The second step is to move the database and log files to the destination folder. This example moves to the destination folder "E:\Archivemailbox"

Move-databasepath Identity Archivemailbox-edbfilepath F:\ArchiveMailbox\ArchiveMailbox.edb-LogFolderPath f:\ Archivemailbox

Note: You cannot run this cmdlet on a replicated mailbox database. To move the path of a replicated database, you must first delete all replicated copies before you can perform the move operation. After the move operation is complete, you can add a copy of the mailbox database.

Note: Before migrating, you can see the number of log files in the original location, and compare them with the following to verify that the migration was successful.

The third step, confirm the location of the mailbox database, type the command:

Get-mailboxdatabase-identity Archivemailbox | FL *path*

Loading the database
