We recommend that you use the compression software for encryption. during compression, the compression dialog box is displayed, and you can use the advanced password settings.

Another method: my folder is encrypted through properties -- Advanced -- to protect data. However, this method is too powerful for EFS encryption and does not restore the proxy. Even the administrator cannot open it... we do not recommend that you use

How to encrypt a folder without encryption software
Windows XP file encryption method
I. Office file format
1. Word Files
To encrypt a Word file, first open the file to be encrypted, click "Tools" menu → "options", and then select the "save" tab in the "options" dialog box. In the "open permission password" and "Modify permission password" input boxes, enter the password. Note that the former password is used to open the file. Without this password, the file cannot be opened. The latter sets whether the user has the right to modify the file based on the former. If not, the user can only read the file, but cannot modify the content.
2. Excel files
The Excel file encryption method is different from the Word file. When you finish editing the file, click "file"> "Save... ", the" Save as "dialog box is displayed, and then click the" Tools "button on the toolbar. The drop-down menu is displayed. Select" general options ", in the displayed settings window, enter the open password and change the password. Click OK to save.
3. Access File
To Encrypt an Access database file, follow these steps:
(1) shut down the database. If the database is shared on the network, make sure that all other users have disabled the database.
(2) copy a backup for the database and store it in a safe place.
(3) Click the open command in the File menu.
(4) Click the arrow on the right of the Open button, and then click open exclusively ".
⑸ Click the "set Database Password" command on the "Tools" menu "security" sub-menu.
In the "password" box, enter your own password. The password is case sensitive.
In the "verify" box, type the password again to confirm, and then click "OK.
In this way, the password is set. The next time you open the database, a dialog box asking you to enter a password is displayed.
4. WPS Files
WPS file encryption is very simple. You only need to click "file"> "Save as...". In the displayed dialog box, select the "file encryption" check box and the "set password" dialog box. First, enter the password in the text box, and then select the encryption type. "common encryption" applies to most cases, while "Top Secret encryption" applies to situations with high confidentiality requirements. Moreover, according to Kingsoft, they can help customers remove files encrypted in the "common encryption" mode, and they can't do anything about files encrypted in the "top secret encryption" mode, therefore, save the password to avoid unnecessary losses.
Ii. File compression
1. WinZip
WinZip is the most popular compression and decompression software. Of course, it also provides very simple encryption functions.
First, create a blank compressed file and add the file to be compressed to the compressed file. Click the "password..." command in the "option" menu to bring up the password setting window. In the text box, enter the set password. When you enter the password, select the "Mask password" check box to make it invisible.
2. WinRAR
Currently, WinRAR is widely used to replace WinZip. Therefore, it is necessary to learn WinRAR encryption methods. WinRAR encryption can be performed in GUI and command line mode.
In the graphic interface, you can press Ctrl + P or select the "password" command from the File menu. The "Enter default password" dialog box is displayed. Enter the default password.
Note:
A. If the "show password" option is disabled, you are required to enter the password twice to ensure correctness.
B. If you have set the "encrypted file name option", WinRAR
It not only encrypts data, but also encrypts all sensitive areas of compressed packages such as file names, sizes, attributes, comments, and other data blocks, providing a higher security level. In the compressed package encrypted using this command, you cannot view the file list without a password. This option is meaningful only when the data is compressed into a RAR compressed package. It is ignored when the default password is used to decompress the data or compress the data into a ZIP format.
In the command line mode, you can operate in the following format:
WinRAR <command>-<parameter 1>-<parameter n> <compressed package> <file...> <@ list file...> <decompress path \>
3. Windows 2000/XP Encryption
Win2000/XP provides the folder encryption function. Of course, we can use it to protect files. Before using the encryption function provided by the system, make sure that the partition format of the folder to be encrypted is NTFS, because this function can be used only under NTFS.
(1) Use Windows 2000 resource manager to select the file or folder for which the encryption attribute is to be set.
(2) Right-click and select \ "properties \" to start the \ "Windows 2000 properties \" dialog box.
(3) Click the [advanced] button on the \ "General \" tab to start the \ "Advanced properties \" dialog box.
(4) Select the \ "encrypted content to protect data \" check box in the \ "compression or encryption properties \" box and click the [OK] button to complete file or folder encryption.

Rabbit and master optimization also have this function.
