git Delete Branch

git branch-d branchname Deleting a branch requires the following conditions:

1 if the branch to be deleted does not have upstream branch, the branch to be removed needs to be merged into the head, otherwise you will need to use-D to force the deletion

2 if the branch to be deleted has upstream branch, then the branch to be deleted needs to be merged on upstream branch. If you merge only the branch you want to delete into the head (head is not upstream branch), you cannot delete it. Using the-D option can also force deletion
