Interpolation ground data
The ground layer is interpolated by the elevation of the scatter data. Use MODFLOW's Model Checker to complete the check and repair. There are four cases in total.
1. Complete Strata
Complete formation, no need to check, direct interpolation.
Click Open to open tutfiles \ layerdata \ points. GPR.
Click the 3D GRID module, select cell, select the center unit in the grid, and click View I axis to switch to the front view.
Before interpolation, you must initialize MODFLOW. Click the MODFLOW | New Simulation command. Click OK.
Switch to the 2D Scatter Point Module and ensure that case1 is active data in the data tree on the right. Click interpolation.
| To MODFLOW Layers command. Click OK to see the interpolation result.
2. When there is a spike
Switch to the 2D Scatter Point Module by following the preceding steps. Make sure that case 2 is the active data. Click the interpolation | to MODFLOW Layers command and click OK.
Correct error data: switch to the 3D GRID module, click the MODFLOW | check simulation command, and click the run check command. A warning is displayed. Click the fix layer errors command to fix the issue.
In the fix layer errors dialog box, there are several different methods for correction. Many errors are listed in Layer2. Correction options are displayed on the left. Select the average option, which means to calculate the average of the top and bottom elevation of the first cell, and move the elevation above the average to the vicinity of the average, the lower-than-average elevation is moved to the vicinity below the average.
Select Layer 2 on the right, select the average option, and click fix.
Select the layer button and click OK to exit done. The corrected result is displayed.
3. When there are outcrops
After performing interpolation in the same method, run check simulation and select the preserve top option in the fix layer errors dialog box for correction. The procedure is the same as before.
4. Base Rock Cutting
Activate case4 as described above. In the check simulation dialog box, select the truncate to bedrock option for formation correction.
