GNS 3 Analog Firewall ASA

"Simulation Environment"

is used by GNS3 version is 0.7.4 , if this version is below, some versions will be missing some options that are not supported.

"ASA"

the ASA has 2 modes of compiling files, single mode and multi mode, which can be selected for use. I am using single mode, I try too much mode, not very good.

Configuration

OpenGNS3, edit→Preference Items→qemu→asa;
To Add a single mode:
Identifier name:asa802-k8-sing(fill in the name yourself, but not in Chinese)
RAM: the(using the default the)
Number of NICs:6(number of network cards, default is6)
NIC Model:e1000(NIC type, default ise1000)
Qemu Options:-hdachs 980,16,32-vnc:1(manual input)
INITRD:G:\GNS3\Fw\ASA\Run\asa802-k8-sing.gz(Compile the file path and store the path yourself)
Kernel:G:\GNS3\Fw\ASA\Run\asa802-k8.vmlinuz(kernel file path, own path)
Kernel cmd Line:autoconsole=ttys0,9600n8 nousb ide1=noprobe bigphysarea=16384 hda=980,16,32(Critical, otherwise nottelnet)

Single-mode initialization
1. Open the GNS3, drag the ASA firewall from the left, select asa802-k8-sing (identifier name in front);

3. single-mode initialization:
command: /mnt/disk0/lina_monitor

4. after the initialization is complete, the ciscoasa> prompt appears, the password is empty, when the flash space is 0, the configuration cannot be saved.

Restart ASA5, then show Flash, space is not zero. But this time with the WR command, will error.

5. To solve the WR error problem, the global mode input the following command: The execution process will have an error can not be ignored, direct carriage.
Copy Running-configdisk0:/.private/startup-config
Boot config Disk0:/.private/startup-config
After execution, the WR save will not be an error.

6. shut down the firewall first, then turn it on, and then configure it.
