The new concept of Adobe CS, the future of GoLive and DreamWeaver

After Adobe released the GoLiveCS2 Chinese version, many people have no reason for Adobe's support for GoLive in terms of web page production, as I have previously published. I think that DreamWeaver has such a common user group. How can it be ignored by Adobe? Today I will analyze some of my reasons. In addition to prejudice, please communicate with each other and make progress together.

First of all, from the actions of Adobe over the past few years, we have released the LiveMotion against Flash, and then suddenly announced the suspension of the project at version 2.0. It can be understood that the market expectation is not good after the launch, and it is hopeless to catch up with Flash.
This is normal. After all, the core technology of SWF is in MacroMedia. In my opinion, Adobe decided to buy its rival MacroMedia at that time, and then began its financial preparation for several years. Therefore, the LiveMotion plan was terminated because there was no need to continue investing in this project. The development team of the original class is merged into the AfterEffects project. In fact, the core developer of LiveMotion originally came from this project.
Adobe is a software giant, so although it is slow, it has to go on a long journey before taking every step. If Adobe plans to support DreamWeaver, GoLive will be suspended in the same period. As a result, GoLive was not terminated, but later developed more and added compatibility with the DreamWeaver interface. This interface change made me use GoLive7.0 (CS) for the first time) it's time to wonder.

Why is GoLive not stopped? I think there are several reasons::

First, the GoLive version is already very high, reaching 6.0 (CS2 is equivalent to 8.0). When a software version is so high, the kernel is very mature. Just as the Photoshop kernel was fixed in 4.0, all subsequent new versions were only made in peripheral operations. The same is true for GoLive. Its kernel is well-developed in the 3.0 era (when it was acquired by Adobe); otherwise, it is impossible to have a monopoly on the MAC platform at that time.
It is unwise to give up a mature software. Either.

The second reason is the market usage. Thanks to the early development of the Chinese version and the promotion activities of MacroMedia in China, DreamWeaver is so dominant that many people have never heard of GoLive. A major reason for this is that Adobe has never released a Chinese version of GoLive, which is absolutely fatal in the Chinese world. However, this is only the case in China. In Europe and the United States where the English version is used, so that the Asian neighbors that published the Japanese version do not have language barriers, and GoLive has a high usage in these regions, especially on MAC platforms, GoLive is the preferred web page creation software for senior designers because of its versatility and strict color control.
Most of those who disagree are based on the market usage. This is correct, but it is only the domestic market usage. Since Adobe is a global enterprise, its market position naturally focuses on the world. GoLive has achieved good sales performance in regions other than China worldwide.
Therefore, looking at the global market, Adobe does not think that GoLive has no future, especially after mastering the powerful killing power of DreamWeaver, Adobe does not need to evaluate the future from a competitive perspective. Note that this market is not based on the number of users, but on the software sales volume in the Adobe financial report.
Although there are many users in China, the market is not mature, because legal protection is not in place.</
