I. Configuration of ILO2

The iLO2 configuration process is simple and is divided into server-side and client configuration. First we need to set an IP address for the server's iLO2 port, which can be manually set or distributed through the DHCP server. The way to obtain IP addresses via DHCP is simple, by simply connecting the ILO2 interface of the server back end with the DHCP server via a network cable.

Server-side settings are very simple, just set a static IP for the ILO2 interface. In the client we first need to verify the connectivity of the network, the client through the cable and the server's iLO2 interface after the connection, through the ping command to verify network connectivity.

First, type the IP address "192.168.1.2" of the iLO2 port in the Address bar, and open the ILO2 main page. The interface is intuitive and friendly, and three common features are in the middle of the page, and the user can quickly operate. "Momentary Press" is a virtual power button that can be used for remote switching. "Turn uid on" is the UID led before and after the server is turned on or off, which can be used to locate the server, and is flagged by blinking when logged on via virtual KVM. "Launch" is used to start a virtual KVM to enable Remote Desktop management of the server, but users need to purchase additional licence.

The System Status page also allows you to view the server's main components such as processor, fan, power, memory, Nic, and so on, so that the administrator can keep abreast of server hardware working status.
