The differential disk technology is to select and set up a VM system. The hard disk after the VM system is installed is the master disk, the differential disk is created, and the differential disk is assigned to the new Virtual Machine for use. When you use a new virtual machine, it will still start the system with Windows 2008 in the master disk, but any changes made in this system will be stored in the differential disk, instead of changing the content in the master disk. In this way, not only new systems are created quickly, but also disk space is saved. This is directly related to hardware investment, not to mention saving time and also saving costs. The detailed steps are as follows: Previously, hyper-V has been used to install a new windows 2008 VM system, and any name is used as the master disk. 1. Open the HYPER-V manager, select the master disk in the right control panel, right click-New --- hard disk. 2. In the pop-up window, select "difference" And next: 3. On the "specified name and location" Page, select the name and location of the virtual hard disk file. Note that this is the new hard disk file, not the master disk. And next: 4. On the "Configure disk" Page, browse the disk where the created windows 2008 virtual machine is located and use it as the parent disk, which is also called the master disk. Then, click "finish ". 5. Open the HYPER-V manager, right-click the master disk in the right control panel, right-click New --- virtual machine: 6. On the "specify name and location" Page, enter or select the corresponding content in "name" and "store Virtual Machine in another location. And next: 7. On the "allocate memory" interface, keep the default 2008 MB memory. in virtual machines, although windows consumes a lot of memory, Mb is enough, if you run some big applications such as SQL, add them again. On the "configure network" interface, select the previously defined virtual network connection and define two types in my HYPER-V virtual network, one is Internet, the other is Nat, select an Internet instance. Enable "use existing virtual hard disk" and browse to the location of the created virtual disk (this virtual hard disk file is the one created on the master disk ). Click Finish. After the above operations, the virtual machine system has actually been built. You can see that the virtual system is running on the Virtual Machine console on the right side of hyper-V manager.
