IBM Aix Chinese Language Pack installation

1) Use the root user login system

2) Command:

# Smitty Lang

Show

3) Select "Add Additional Language Environments"

Show

4) Insert System CD First

5) Move the cursor to the "Cultural Convention to install" line, the key F4 or esc+4

Use the F7 or esc+7 keys to select

〉utf-8 Chinese (simplified UTF) [ZH_CN]

〉gb18030 S-chinese (GB18030) [ZH_CN]

Enter

6) Move the cursor to the "LANGUAGE translation to install" line, the key F4 or esc+4

Use the F7 or esc+7 keys to select

〉IBM-EUCCN Chinese (simplified EUC) [ZH_CN]

〉utf-8 Chinese (simplified UTF) [ZH_CN]

〉gb18030 S-chinese (GB18030) [ZH_CN]

Enter

7) After seeing the following screen, enter

8) Replace the system disk in the optical drive according to the instructions on the monitor until the installation OK is displayed.

9) Exit the CDE screen

10) Select "Options"

11) Select "LANGUAGE"

12) Select: Chinese (simplified EUC) IBM-EUCCN can use the Chinese landing system

13) If you use tools such as Netterm or CRT to log into the system remotely, log into the system and use the command

Export LANG=ZH_CN

Modify the language environment for the system to Chinese.

Note: The version of the system disk that installs the language pack must not be greater than the current system version, if the language pack is installed with a lower version of the system, then after the installation of the language pack, the system will install the system patch again to ensure the stability of the system version.
