Teach you to use illustrator to draw a lens shutter icon
Draw a polygon
Start by dragging the vertical and horizontal guides from the ruler. If you do not see the ruler on the screen go to the View > Ruler > Display ruler (or press Cmd/ctrl + R). Select the Polygon tool from the toolbox, move the two points on the mouse to the guide point, and now click Drag (hold the mouse) and draw a polygon from the center by also holding down the SHIFT + Option/alt key. Give the polygon random color and no stroke. By clicking on the lock polygon Cmd/ctrl + 2 (Object > Lock > Selection).

Draw a curve
Change the color swatch in the toolbox without padding and random stroke colors. Select the color contrast and color of the polygon. Now select the Pen tool, draw out the curve at the beginning of the polygon at a corner, the polygon edge below, and end all the way outside. Only 2 anchor points (start and end) can be used, and make sure that the curve is wide enough to be a long time.

Make sure the curve is fully selected, and then select the Rotate tool from the toolbox. Hold down the Curve ALT key/select key around the center point of the Polygon, and click on the center of the exact polygon (this is the 2-point intersection).

Enter a value of 60 to rotate the window in rotation and click the Copy button.

In the next step, select the Scissors tool from the toolbox and make the cut you have created the original ARC path, as close as possible to the intersection of two curves points. Do a perfect job and avoid annoying warnings that you need to zoom in on. Removing the original curve path is the part of the upper-left corner of the cut (see Help for the next image).

Now select the top anchor point for these two segments by selecting the Direct Selection tool (or the white arrow) and dragging a rectangular area above it. Add hit them by pressing Ctrl/cmd + J.

Now, you should have a triangular shape similar to the one shown in the above figure. Use the Select Shape Selection tool (black arrow). Now select the Rotate tool from the toolbox. Hold down the option/ALT key and click the center point of the polygon again, just as you did before.

Enter a value of 60 degrees, and then click the Copy button.

You should end up with 2 triangles similar to the image shown above. Hit to now press Ctrl/cmd + D 4 times, continuous repeat this exact transformation of about 4 times times to complete the circle of the drawing.

The final result should be similar to the picture above.

Now we put the recruit into the fill by going to object > expand. Make sure the stroke is selected, and then click OK (OK).

Make sure the shape is still selected, then go to the Pathfinder palette and select Unity. I'm trying to avoid this option because you can see that the illustrator does have a bit of a bad job here. It is created in everything else otherwise we have such a clean path to these unnecessary anchor points!: (However, so we have no other option here except to accept the result I'm afraid we need this step.)

Then draw a circle that is smaller than the shape you just created because it needs to be adapted. Select the Ellipse tool to create a perfect circle from the toolbox and from the center to the center of the polygon. To do this, hold down the option/Alt key, tap into the center point, hold down the mouse and drag, and then hold down the SHIFT key as you drag to create a perfect circle. When you finish dragging make sure first, then release the mouse button.

In this step, we will use a new CS5 tool that I really like and want to implement in the Adobe earlier Way, that is, the Shape Builder tool. We need to get rid of a lot of unnecessary parts and this tool can be easily done. First make sure that two circles and shapes are selected and now select the Shape Builder tool. To delete a section of the selected shape, hold down the option/ALT key and hover over the part you want to delete. When you see a select indicator (pattern) Click once. First hover over the part, which is the round hold out ALT key/select key. The minus sign should appear next to the cursor to tell you that you want to delete this part.

Next hover hold down the line/alt key in the circle and click to delete them.

The last hover in the center section hold the option/ALT key Click to remove it. Now, by going to unlock the original polygon object > all unlock it or press Ctrl/cmd + ALT key/Option + 2 by clicking the shortcut. Hit the delete key to delete the object because we don't need it anymore.
