1. Hard Disk Partition Configuration:

Drive C: win7 (NTFs format -- installed)

Disk D: install the software disk in Windows (NTFs format -- not processed)

E-Disk: used to store the rhl6.0es Installation File (FAT32 format -- after the installation is complete, it can be changed to NTFS. Because there are too many other D/F disk materials, I chose an e-disk with less information, you can choose according to the actual situation)

F: Windows File disk (NTFs format -- not processed)

G Disk: (FAT32 format --/root partition storage point, size allocated according to the actual situation of the hard disk, my is 40 Gb)

H Disk: (FAT32 format-4 GB space, used for Linux swap partition)

 

 

2. Set boot, start Rhl-6.0-ES setup

 

2.1. Download rhel-server-6.0-i386-dvd

(Http://www.redhat.com/rhel/server/ official website registered account to enter free evaluation software to download)

 

2.2. format the three partitions as FAT32

 

Note: In Windows 7, partitions cannot be directly formatted as FAT32 using the System Format option.

The partition operation is as follows:

Step 1: select the partition to be formatted (medium e disk)

 

Step 2: Right-click "format partition"

 

 

Step 3: Select "File System" as FAT32 and click OK.

 

Step 4: format the other disks G and H using the above method, click the "Apply" button on the toolbar, and the system will restart the partition configuration. At this time, do not power off or force shutdown, avoid hard disk partition crash.

 

2.3. Installation File Processing
