You can set Keynote to indicate spelling errors as you type, and you can check whether the entire presentation or selected text has a spelling error. Keynote can also check the syntax and find the word definition.
Use the Spelling and grammar window to check spelling and grammar, add terms to the dictionary, and change the language of the dictionary. When you add a term to a dictionary, you teach Keynote new words, so it does not mark them as misspelled.
Automatically check spelling and grammar
1, choose Edit > Spelling and Grammar (from the Edit menu at the top of the computer screen), and then enable either option:
Check spelling as you type: marks misspelled words with a red underline.
Check spelling and grammar: underline misspelled words in red underlines and indicate suspicious syntax with a green underline.
Automatically correct spelling: Adds a blue underline to the misspelled part when you enter text, and briefly displays its replacements. If you do not agree to replace the version, click X in the suggested bubbles to keep what you have entered.
2, hold down the control key and press the misspelled word, and then choose an option from the shortcut menu.
Open the Spelling and grammar window
Choose Edit > Spelling and Grammar > show spelling and Grammar (from the Edit menu at the top of your computer screen).
Find the definition of a word
Control-click the Word, and then choose Find [Word] from the shortcut menu.
