Keynote how to format text

Source: Internet
Author: User

When you enable any Chinese, Japanese, or Korean keyboard on a device, Keynote provides some language-specific text formatting features, including accent styles, list styles, and phonetic guides. The formatting options are available, depending on the language keyboard you have enabled.

For best results, use the following suggested fonts:

Simplified Chinese: bold-Jane

Traditional Chinese: blackbody-Fan

Korean: Apple Gothic

Japanese: Hiragino Kaku Gothic (sans serif font) or Hiragino mincho (serif font)

These instructions assume that you have at least one Chinese, Japanese, or Korean keyboard enabled on the device. To enable the international keyboard, open settings on the device and go to the general > Multilingual Environment > Keyboard.

Add Chinese, Japanese, or Korean emphasis numbers

You can add emphasis numbers that are commonly used in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean text. For example, using the Chinese keyboard, you can apply a dot below or above the text, or apply a wavy underline to the text. With Japanese text, you can add planar dots or sesame dots.

1, switch the keyboard to Chinese, Japanese or Korean keyboard.

2, select Chinese, Japanese or Han Wenwenben (including one or more characters), and then tap the "format" button.

3. To apply formatting marks to the selected text, tap the buttons in the Styles window.

Whether the formatting options are available depends on the current keyboard.

Use Chinese, Japanese, or Korean list styles

The Chinese, Japanese, and Korean list styles can be applied to lists written in any language. Only bullets or numbering systems are affected.

1. For a list containing English text, type the first item in the list (for example, 1 or A).

For a list that contains Chinese, Japanese, or Korean text, switch the keyboard to the language you want, and then type the first item in the list (for example, 가).

2, enter a period or parenthesis, and then enter a space.

3, enter the first list item, and then press RETURN key.

Keynote automatically detects that you are typing a list. You can continue using the Chinese, Japanese, or Korean keyboards to complete the list.

4. If you want to enter a list that contains English text but use Chinese, Japanese, or Korean list styles, click List, and then click the list style lightly.

You may need to scroll to see all list styles. The style that is displayed depends on the keyboard that you are enabling.

Provide phonetic guides along text

If you have a Chinese, Japanese, or Korean keyboard enabled for your MAC or IOS device, you can apply phonetic guides to words written in any language, even if you do not use any of the keyboards.

1. Select text (one or more characters).

Do not include any trailing paragraph breaks or punctuation in the selected text.

2, light "Pinyin". (You may need to tap to see the ruby button.) )

The selected text displays a phonetic guide.

3. To change phonetic guide text, tap the Guide in the Phonetic Guide list, and then select the text you want to guide, or type your own text in the top column.

The phonetic options are dependent on the keyboard you are enabling.

4. Click anywhere outside the phonetic guide to apply the text and close the window.

Change or remove phonetic guide text

After you add phonetic guide text, you can change the language or remove it.

1, select the word containing the phonetic guide, and then press it lightly.

2. In the "Phonetic Guide" list, tap "Guide".

3. In the "Guide text" list, select the Guide text for your preferred language.

The phonetic options are dependent on the keyboard you are enabling.

4. To remove the guide text, click the Remove Guide.
