Keynote text HOW to align

Source: Internet
Author: User

You can adjust the text in a text box, shape, table cell, row, or column to align, center, or align text to the left or right border (justified). You can also change vertical alignment, adjust line spacing, set text margin margins, and change the number of columns in a shape or text box.

You can use tab stops to align text. When you press the TAB key (if you are working on a table cell, press option-tab), the insertion point (and any text on its right) moves to the next tab stop, and the text you enter begins at that point.

Align text

1. Select a text box, a shape that contains text, a table cell, a row, or a column.

2. In the text panel of the format checker, click Style, and then click the Alignment button you want.

Set paragraph margin margins

To set paragraph margin margins, make sure the ruler is displayed. If you don't see the ruler, click Show in the toolbar

, and then choose Show Ruler.

1, click in the paragraph, or select one or more paragraphs.

2. Drag the margin and paragraph indent marks (on the top ruler) to the location you want.

3. To use the default indent (increase or decrease the indentation of an entire paragraph), click one of the indent buttons in the text panel of the format checker (you might want to click the Style button near the top of the panel to see the Alignment button).

You can change the default paragraph indent in the text panel of the format Inspector. Click the Layout button, and then click the display triangle next to indent.

Change the number of text columns

You can change the number of columns in a shape or text box.

1, select the Shape or text box.

2, click Layout in the text panel of the format Inspector, and then click the display triangle next to columns.

Set tab stops

1. Click the position where you want to set the tab stop, or select the paragraph where you want to set the tab stop.

2. Click the horizontal ruler where you want to place the tab stop.

If you don't see the ruler, click Show in the toolbar

, and then choose Show Ruler.

3. To be more system-aligned, control-click the tab icon, and then select the alignment you want (left tab, Center tab, Right tab, or Decimal tab).

4. To make the position of the table more system-changing, drag its icon along the ruler.

To remove a tab stop, drag the tab-stop icon below the ruler until it disappears.

You can also change other tab settings, including the default tab spacing. In the text panel of the format inspector, click Layout, and then use the controls in the tabs section to make changes.
