LabVIEW Event Structure

Waits for an event to occur and executes the corresponding conditional branch to handle the event. Event Structure

Includes one or more sub-program block diagrams or event branches, when the structure processing time, only one subroutine block diagram or branch is executed. When you wait for an event notification, the structure can time out.

The "timeout" terminal in the upper-left corner of the line border, specifying the time, in milliseconds, to wait for the event to occur. The default value is-1, which means that never times out.
