A good example of both is when you add a floatingactionbutton as a child of coordinatorlayout and then pass this coordinatorlayout to the Snackbar.make () call--So, Not snackbar on top of Floatingactionbutton, Instead, the Snackbar to enter the screen as an animated Floatingactionbutton takes full advantage of the coordinatorlayout provided by the callback to automatically move up, and then return to its position in Snackbar, Snackbar produces an animated exit screen on Android 3.0 or more devices without the need for additional code.

Coordinatorlayout also provides the Layout_anchor property, which, together with layout_anchorgravity, can be used to place floating views, such as Floatingactionbutton, and relate to other views.
