Mdm Data Structures

Several types of sap mdm modeling are frequently used:
Common Type (field)
The text type, which can contain less than 333 characters.
Integer: an integer of four bytes.
Boolean)
Only true or false values are of the boolean type.
Autoid is an integer that is automatically incremented by sap mdm.

Main
A master table is a unit table that contains the main information about business objects. For example, the MDM product information library includes each piece of information, applicable to products such as SKU, product names, manufacturers, and prices for each product and individual records in individual fields.
The new MDM library contains a product named after the master table.

Lookup [Flat] Type
Values stored in the lookup structure are shared with records in other tables, and can also be used to verify the validity of input and query data. For example, in the "country" Field of the main table, you can create a lookup [Flat] subtable to store
The names of countries such as China, the United States, and Germany are displayed as drop-down lists on the front-end. In MDM 7.1, a new function is added to lookup main table. The concept is the same as that of lookup subtables.

Hierarchy type
Hierarchy is a table structure with a tree (hierarchy) structure. Each record is connected to a leaf node in the tree structure or its parent node. In sap mdm, it can only be used as a sub-table structure. It is also a special lookup table structure. Other hierarchy tables include taxonomy, masks, and families, which have no limit on the number of parent and child nodes.

Taxonomy1
Pre-defined. A category is a classification scheme that defines the categories applicable to record sets and sub-categories. Classification records enable you to search, edit, and publish records that are separated in various organizations.
The MDM storage class and sub-class hierarchy in the classification table also support attributes, "subdomains", applicable to specific categories, rather than the entire set of records. Mdm supports multiple simultaneous classifications.
The new MDM library contains a single named classification table.

Lookup [qualified] Type
The qualified type structure is mainly used to store a record where some fields have multiple different values. For example, the same product has different prices in different regions. In sap mdm, it can only be used as a sub-table structure,
It is also a special lookup structure and supports creating multiple qualified sub-tables in the same master table.
