Q: One for the foodies to have a bit of fun with, please:
Event: Birthday dinner for 4 in October.
Fare: European-modern or traditional. Anything but Asian-birthday boy is Thai and he will have been to all the good spots.
Looking for something really special. Food, wine & ambience over views-but if you can think of somewhere that ticks ALL the boxes, that wocould be fantastic.
Thanks all
Bokhara2
Random Tip: Megurogajoen-TokyoA: Has to be Donovans. Ask for a table by the window.

A: incluthanks Downunder A: Di Stasio in St Kilda-great food and service can be wonderful.
Church St Enoteca-Italian, good food and service
Vue de Monde-great food and service-most expensive.
That shoshould keep you busy looking at the reviews. They are all good foodwise and we have always had great service at Di Stasio but the reviews are mixed there because of the service.
Random Tip: Canada Travel Q & AA: Jillyf,
Which one wocould you choose? Take the $ out of the equation.
Many thanks
Bokhara2A: Donovans, Donovans .... we try to get to Melbourne about 3 times a year and when we can we always go to Donovans. we are bits of 'foodies' and it ticks ALL the boxes. ambience ........ doesn't matter if its a 'typical' overcast Melb day the view over Port Phillip Bay is awe inspiring, and naturally on a clear day its beautiful .......... food... perfect everytime But best of all the services ........ outstanding,
Simply the best restaurant we 've ever been to (& we 've been to a lot)
Our best times there are Sunday lunch ...... superb.
