Microsoft Office Password Settings

The most commonly used Microsoft Office is 2003 and the latest Office 2007, and in which Word and Excel are the most common application of Office software, whether we are used to write a diary or record work data, there are always do not want to let others see the file, this time need to use password protection. Without Third-party tool software, you can implement file Protection in Word and Excel as well.

In Microsoft Office Word 2003, when we finish editing our own documents, we can click Tools on the menu bar to open options.

With the Security tab open, you can see the encryption option, where "password when opening" can restrict open documents and no reading rights; Password when modifying a file "is allowed to view, but no modification is allowed. If you do not want content reviewers to inadvertently modify the file, select the recommend open document as read-only check box. Enter the password after the click OK.

Another option is to use Save as.
