UniveRSS is a 3D RSS feed Reader for Windows Vista. This program uses Windows Presentation Foundation to display RSS feeds and their contents in a graphical manner.
In UniveRSS, we can see a 3D "Universe" space. "Galaxy" represents the RSS feed directory, while the "Stars" in the cube shape represent a single feed. The size and position of the feed cube depend on the number of items that are read.
In addition, users can identify each feed through the website logo or feed image.
Microsoft said that operations in such an environment are a bit like playing games. "selecting a project in the list will turn the cube to the other side and display the project content including images ", "right-click to return to the List View or return to Galaxy."
Microsoft recommends that UniveRSS be installed in Windows Vista Premium-ready PC. The hardware is configured with a CPU of 1 GHz or higher and 1 GB memory. It supports DirectX 9 and a WDDM driver graphics card and MB memory, pixel Shader 2.0 and 32-bit color depth are supported.
Features in the future plan of UniveRSS include other navigation methods, advanced search and classification, integration with the Microsoft Live platform, and more personalized options.
