According to foreign media reports, Microsoft will provide IE6 or IE7 users with notifications about whether to automatically update to IE8 from the third week of June April. At first, only a small number of users may receive the notification, however, all end users will receive the notification.
In Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 systems, automatic update to IE8 is set as "high priority". In Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 systems, this update is set as "important ".
Microsoft said that IE8 will not be automatically installed on the user's computer. The user's welcome interface provides three options: Ask later, install now, and not install at the moment. You can also download this Update from www.microsoft.com/ie88.0 Windows Update.
You can use the interception Toolkit Blocker provided by Microsoft to block automatic update of IE8. The interception toolkit was released in July and has no expiration date. If you do not want to install IE8, you need to install the interception toolkit before the week of April 8.
Microsoft will release IE8 to users who use Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and system Management Server (SMS) in May July this year, these users can configure IE8 by configuring other updates.
