Moss development common error messages

1) error message:File not found.
Cause:CodeOr the page-related files are not found,
There may be:
The resource files applied to the page cannot be found (the page, including webpart, and the resource files used by the master must be stored in app_globalresources under the site directory)
The referenced DLL cannot be found, especially when GAC is used. If a DLL is added to GAC, this error occurs if other DLL referenced by this DLL does not exist in GAC.

2) The service account is constantly locked. The event information is as follows:

Solution: re-create the search and Index Service and reconfigure the account.

3) install the third front-end in a bilingual environment (English MOSS system, Chinese Language Pack Installed) on the farm of three servers (two front-ends ).
"Page error, 500 error", view the log, there are a lot of information that cannot load language resource files...-ZH-CN.
Cause: the Chinese Language Pack is not installed. After installation, the problem is solved.

4) The event manager contains the following information, and a large number of hosts.2008.01.21.03.14.19.42 files appear in the log directory.

5) the following error occurs during document conversion: ce_other
Possible cause: the document conversion service cannot be started on domain control. Therefore, if Moss and AD are installed together, it is useless.

6) The page (master) is customized. Besides the Administrator, the logon box appears multiple times (3 or 3 times) after a common user logs on)

Cause: the Server File Permission problem. After the master is customized, the referenced image, CSS, and JS file permissions are not open to common users.

Solution: referenceAllThe read-only permission of the resource file is granted to everyone.

 

6) users with viewing permissions cannot access the site homepage (an error message indicating they do not have permission to access the site), but can access the list page. The problem persists after all webaprt on the homepage are disabled.

Cause: Unknown, it may be that the user is not authorized to access a closed webpart on the page.

Solution: Go to the webpart Management page on the page (add parameters on the URL? Contents = 1), delete all closed webparts.
