As burner prices continue to drop, burners are pouring into the home of ordinary computer users. Burner with its lowest unit cost, large storage capacity, simple operation, and burning of CD-ROM long storage life and so on are more and more favored by the vast number of computer users. However, in the process of using the burner, many users will encounter some problems. Among them, the most typical on the number of recorders for the super capacity burning.
Everyone down from the internet down the ISO format of the files, often encounter the download of the entire package is larger than 700M. When you burn these files, the burn software prompts you to exceed the available space on the disc, and you can insert other high-capacity discs to continue burning. In the case of Nero's burning software, the picture appears as follows:
The burner will then automatically open the door, without replacing the large capacity type of disc burning process can not continue. This is because most of the cd-w discs have a capacity of 700M and the rewritable CD-RW discs have a capacity of 650M. In fact, if the size of the file exceeds the volume of the disc is not large, you can completely through the engraving to burn the purpose of this type of disc.
As you know, theoretically, the capacity of each type of CD-R and CD-RW disc is fixed. However, in fact, the CD manufacturers in the production process, usually leave some room. In the outer part of the disc, which is equally evenly coated with optical material, most burning software such as Nero, NTI CD dvd-maker Platinum, and so on, also provide the ability to burn in these hyper-normal burn areas, known as the super engraved. By using this function, you can burn data that exceeds its theoretical capacity limit on CD-R discs. The following is the author of Nero V6.3.1.20 burning software as an example, to introduce the CD-R disc super engraved on the specific operation process, I hope to be helpful to everyone.
The first step: Test the actual capacity of the CD
To have an accurate understanding of the actual capacity of the disc, you can test the disc with Nero Cd-dvd speed in Nero software. Insert a CD-R disc on the burner, click the Nero→nero toolkit→nero Cd-dvd Speed Under the Start menu, see figure:
There will be "Nero Cd-dvd Speed" program screen, click on "Other" in the menu bar "super Engraved test ...", see figure:
A test window appears, showing the basic information about the CD-R disc, including capacity, time, manufacturer, disc type, etc.
