OpenSUSE 11.2 Spring Chinese font installation

It was originally intended to install Qt in Linux.

So I looked at Solaris 10 x86 and openSUSE11.2 from the installed virtual machine, and finally picked an openSESE to install it.

So I thought about how to transfer the two installation files in Windows, and thought about how to install the Flying Pigeon.

In order to install the Flying Pigeon in Linux, it is not natural that the Chinese font should be installed.

Here we will introduce the installation process of Chinese fonts (the default Chinese fonts are too few and too ugly)

Installation Method:

Download: http://wenq.org/index.cgi? ZenHei
Download the official spring package for Chinese characters (normal compressed format package .tar.gz)

 

0. Switch the terminal command to the root user:
Su and enter the password
1. decompress the archive of the font file:
Tar zxvf wqy-zenhei * .tar.gz

2. Move the decompressed folder "wqy-zenhei" to the/usr/share/fonts/wenquanyi/directory:
Mv wqy-zenhei/usr/share/fonts/wenquanyi/
(If/usr/share/fonts/wenquanyi/does not exist, first create: mkdir-p/usr/share/fonts/wenquanyi /)

(Mv is the cut command. I found that if you directly cut the video and run it to another folder, it cannot be pasted. This may be due to permission issues)

3. Edit the/etc/X11/xorg. conf file:
Cp/etc/X11/xorg. conf/etc/X11/xorg. conf. back

(Cp is the copy command. Back up one)
Vim/etc/X11/xorg. conf

(Vim is used to edit the file. If you open the file directly using gpedit text, you are not authorized to save the edited file)

(After the vim command is opened: Use the cursor to locate the text and press the keyboard to edit the command.

After editing, Press Esc to exit the editing command.

After exiting the edit command, enter ": wq" to exit and save.

After that, you can proceed with the following steps .)

4. Locate the FontPath section and add:
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/wenquanyi/wqy-zenhei"
Save the file (that is, the input ": wq ).

 

5. Edit the/etc/fonts. conf file:
Cp/etc/fonts. conf/etc/fonts. conf. back (or back up one)
Vim/etc/fonts. conf (or enable editing)

6. Add the following before </fontconfig>:
<Dir>/usr/share/fonts/wenquanyi/wqy-zenhei/</dir> (or insert)
Or save the file.

 

After installation, you can set the font:

 

In openSUSE, the font is set to: Computer-> Control center-> appearance

Switch from the Tab to Fonts on the open interface, you can see the font selection and switching.

In the last three fonts, select a few Chinese characters.
