Reason: Default Browser setup Issue
WORKAROUND: Reset The default Web browser
Step 1
1. Click Start, Default Programs
2. Click Set your default Programs
3. Select your Web browser from the list
4. Click Set this program as default
5. Click OK.
Then follow these steps:
Step 2
1. Click Set Program Access and Computer Defaults
2. Click Continue If you are the User Account Control prompt.
3. Click Custom
4. Select your Web browser from the list
5. Click OK.

7-16-2012 today again encountered this problem, with the following method to solve, the default browser is Firefox:
Note:these instructions apply to Windows Vista and 7 only.)
1. Click Start, type regedit, and then press Enter.
2. Navigate to the following entry:hkey_classes_root\firefoxurl\shell\open\ddeexec
3. In the center pane, double-click the Default entry, then remove whatever value is there (it ' ll probably to be a weird stri Ng of numbers and commas).
4. Click OK, then exit Regedit.
5. If Outlook and/or Firefox are open, close them, then restart them.
