Parallels will regularly provide free updates to enhance parallels Desktop.
By default, Parallels desktop is configured to automatically find and download available software updates once a week. Parallels Desktop will prompt you to install the update whenever an update release is available. Simply follow the instructions.
Adjust software update settings
1. Choose one of the following methods:
Click the Parallels icon in the menu bar, press the option (ALT) key, and press and hold the key to select preferences. then click General.
If you see the Parallels Desktop menu bar at the top of the screen, select Parallels Desktop> Preferences and click General.
2. Choose one of the following methods:
To adjust how often Parallels checks for software updates, from the check for Updates menu, choose Never, once a day, once a week, or once a month.
To select whether Parallels Desktop automatically downloads updates, select or deselect automatically download updates.
If you choose not to download updates automatically, Parallels Desktop will notify you when an update is available and ask if you want to download it.
Check for updates manually
Follow the instructions in the 1th step above and then click Check Now. You can also choose to check for updates from the Parallels Desktop app menu.
Attention:
To check for and download updates, your Mac must be connected to the Internet and you must register Parallels Desktop.
