Photoshop CS6 Color Pencil Filter Usage Detailed

1. Open an image file. As shown in the following illustration:

If necessary, read the Photoshop CS6 to open the file.

2. Select the Filter menu, click on the "Filter Gallery" command, open the Filter Gallery dialog box, click on the "Art effects" filter group, click on the "Color pencil" filter in the Drop-down list. As shown in the following illustration:

Pencil Width: Sets the width of the pencil line. The larger the value, the thicker the pencil draws.

Stroke pressure: Sets the pressure size of a pencil drawing. The larger the value, the more obvious the color is drawn.

Paper Brightness: Sets the brightness of a solid color background. The larger the value, the greater the brightness of the paper.

3. After setting the options in the dialog box, click on the "OK" button to apply the color pencil filter to the image. As shown in the following illustration:

Tips

When you modify a parameter in a dialog box, if you hold down the ALT key, the Cancel button in the dialog box becomes the Reset button, and clicking the reset button restores the parameter to its original state.
