Select the Edit menu, move the mouse pointer over preferences, and click the General command on the Pop-up submenu to open the Preferences dialog box. As shown in the following illustration:
1. Color Picker
Using the color picker, you can select foreground and background colors. You can select a Windows or Adobe color Picker.
1) The Windows Color Picker is shown in the following illustration:
Windows Color Picker is simpler and is suitable for non professional users. However, the Windows Color Picker does not have a warning prompt for colors that are not printable, so it is recommended that you set the color picker to Adobe.
2) The Adobe Color Picker is shown in the following illustration:
This is the default color picker for Photoshop.
2. HUD Color Picker
HUD is the head up display of the abbreviation, namely head-up display, used to set up the head-up display color picker. You can select a color picker from the Drop-down list on the right.
3. Image interpolation
When you redefine an image pixel using the image size or transform command, Photoshop assigns the color value to all new pixels based on the color value of the current pixel in the image, using the interpolation method. This pixel allocation process is based on the "image interpolation" option in the implementation of the settings. The more complex the interpolation method, the higher the quality and precision retained from the original image.
Near (Keep hard edge): fastest, lowest quality. The modified image selection area is serrated and has a lower appearance accuracy.
Two times linear: is the tradeoff between speed and quality, which belongs to the quality of medium quality.
Two cubic cubes (for smooth gradients): can get very smooth tonal gradients, just slow. This is the most accurate pixel redistribution algorithm, the most aesthetic appreciation of the.
Two cubic cube is smoother (suitable for expansion): The pixel redistribution algorithm is used to enlarge the image, and the smoothing effect can be obtained.
Two cubic cube sharper (suitable for reduction): When the image is reduced to the pixel redistribution algorithm, you can get a sharper effect.
Two cubic (automatic): This is the default option, and Photoshop automatically determines the pixel reallocation algorithm.
4. Options
Automatically update open documents: Select this to automatically update files in Photoshop if the files currently open in Photoshop CS6 are modified and saved by another program.
When you're done, use a sound tip: Select this and Photoshop will beep after you perform an action.

Resize window when zooming: Select this to automatically resize the window when you use keyboard shortcuts to enlarge or shrink the image.
Zoom with the wheel: Select to zoom the current screen size by scrolling the wheel on the mouse.
Zoom point to Center: Select this, and when using the Zoom tool, you can automatically scale the image of the mouse click to the center of the canvas.
Enable swipe pan: Select this to require that the computer be configured with OpenGL. When you use the hand tool to move the image, release the mouse button, the image will also produce a sliding dynamic effect.
Change the circle brush hardness according to the HUD's vertical movement: This option is selected by default.
To place or drag a raster image as a Smart object: Select this item, and the image placed or dragged directly into the current canvas automatically becomes a smart object. Otherwise, the normal image is placed or dragged.
Aligns the vector tool with the transform with the pixel grid: This option is selected by default.
