1. To open a dark image in Photoshop, you can make a picture or copy one of the same layers in order to compare it to the original. Perform the color range under the Select menu.

Note: You can decide to fill one or more times depending on the dark degree of the picture, but one thing to be aware of is that if you're going to fill more than two times, you'll have to select the selection again for each fill, which means you want to rerun the color Range command under the Select menu, because the darkened range of the image changes as you fill it. 7. Tune out the history panel and select the step that is not modified by the picture, that is, before you perform the color range.
