There are three shortcut keys associated with the PS merge layer, such as merging down layers, merging visible layers, and merging all the layer shortcuts.
First, PS merge the layer shortcut keys down
PS downward merge layer is to merge the previous layer and the next layer into one layer.
Ctrl+e shortcut key: Is the currently active action layer and the next layer merge.
Tip: 1. If the upper and lower layers are all type layers, ctrl+e shortcuts cannot be merged into layers.
2. If the lower level is a type layer, no matter what, the layer cannot be merged.
In both cases, you can merge layers unless you have a grid of text layers.
Second, PS merge visible layer shortcut keys
Shift+ctrl+e shortcuts are merged visible layers, meaning that layers with eyes on the front of the layer will be merged into one layer. As shown in the following illustration:
Third, PS Merge all layers and retain the original layer
Shift+ctrl+alt+e shortcut is to create a new blank layer on top, then merge all the visible layers in the blank layer, and leave the original layer, so we usually finish the section and then use Shift+ctrl+alt+e to merge the layers.
