This technology allows the fifth generation of mobile networks to speed up to hundreds of times of the current 4G network ".

What are the scenarios for converting this speed into a download speed? Samsung said that the download speed of each base station would reach "dozens of gigabytes per second", allowing users to transmit large data files and ultra-HD movies "almost without restrictions.

The new technology is said to have adopted the millimeter-wave bands technology that operates in high frequency bands, solving the impact of atmospheric attenuation on long-distance data transmission. Samsung said they successfully designed a work und using 64 antenna groups to transmit 2000 gigabytes of data per second in the 28 GHz band within 1.056 meters.

Network Congestion

Everything is so beautiful, but before we can download an ultra-high definition content in a twinkling of an eye, we need to review the controversial issues that have not yet been resolved, this problem will only increase as the speed increases.

If you are driving on an intercontinental Road with a speed limit of 80 yards in front, but you may only drive at a low speed of 40 yards, because you know this is a two-way road, and it is just the time of traffic congestion. My smart phone data connection is sometimes like a person living in a university city. It is very crowded during the summer holidays of the competition day or a city.

The problem is that my 4G smartphone or tablet is not fast enough to instantly watch high-quality videos and music, and even a 3G network can handle Netflix or Spotify services. However, these networks often fail to meet the minimum expectation. The reason is simple: the network is too crowded.

This is one of the reasons why mobile phone service providers dare to publicize the wireless traffic package. It has a lot to do with demographic control. The network service provider did not specify it, but what I want to say is: The faster mobile network technology is, the more people you may use, and the more crowded the network may be.

Traffic bottleneck

A few weeks ago, a friend sent me a short video link. I clicked on it through a smart machine and waited for the appearance of the YouTube video. I am ashamed of this accident and learn from it: not only is my mobile phone unable to mark the download being done, but the high-speed 4G network is also amplifying a small problem. The mistake I made was that I did not reset my cell phone or terminate the backend download. This may cause me to pay extra fees outside the traffic package.

As long as our traffic bottleneck problem still causes cost loss, more and more users access large files, resulting in network congestion, and the speed of the mobile network is no longer significant. I hope that Samsung and other companies will not just think about how amazing the mobile network will be in the next six or seven years, but should pay more attention to solving the problems of network congestion and traffic threshold today.

I will be happy if I can still access the Internet at 3G speed by 2020, provided that the network is reliable and I don't have to worry about extra fees due to excessive traffic usage.
