What is sap Hana?

Hana is a combination of software and hardware that provides high-performance data query functions. You can directly query and analyze a large amount of real-time business data without the need to model and aggregate business data. The user obtains a device with pre-configuration software. As for Hana cloud services, users can enjoy the high performance of Hana without buying related hardware, while Hana cloud services still require higher performance hardware support.

Software

SAP in-memory database (IMDB) is an important component of Hana, including the in-memory database server and the modeling tool (studio) and client tools (odbo, JDBC, ODBC, sqldbc, etc ). Hana's computing engine is its core, responsible for parsing and processing various crudq operations on a large amount of data, supporting SQL and MDX statements, SAP and non-SAP data. Obviously, the Hana computing engine needs to quickly process complex query requests and return query results.
